Barcelona, Spain: Restb.ai, a startup providing image recognition for real estate, is a winner in the European Innovation Council (EIC) pilot. The EIC pilot is part of the Horizon 2020 programme, the biggest European Union Research and Innovation programme.
The competition was extremely strong. Therefore, Restb.ai is excited to have been selected out of 1,658 proposals and celebrate along the other 64 winners. Together with the other innovative enterprises and projects, Restb.ai will receive funding and also benefit from 12 days of free business coaching and acceleration services.
Restb.ai applied and passed the first tier in February 2018, after which it passed through the second stage. The final step was a presentation about Restb.ai’s technology. The 2 co-founders talked about this in front of an expert jury formed out of innovators, entrepreneurs, and venture capitalists.
Horizon 2020 aims to ensure that Europe is a world leader when it comes to science, innovation, and tackling societal issues. The EIC pilot, as part of Horizon 2020, is designed to support top-class innovators, entrepreneurs, small companies, and scientists aiming to innovate and develop breakthroughs.
Restb.ai applied to the programme through the SME Instrument, the part of EIC which provides financing for innovation activities like demonstration, testing, piloting, and scaling up.
